Philippe SULTAN
Lighting production

Philippe Sultan was born on January 12, 1966 in Montreuil-sous-Bois. Parallel to the preparation of a Licence in language at the University of Paris VIII, he became acquainted with the conception and production of short films. 1994 marks his departure to Jerusalem, where he was schooled in the crafts of production at the Tel Arza Technological Institute. The production of portraits for Jerusalem cable marks the beginning of a collaboration with the Israel Film Service, with Sultan in the position of Chief Operator of documentary projects. Just until March 2001, he collaborated with Jerusalem’s Khan and Hazira Theatres with him as Lighting Director of theatrical or interdisciplinary musical productions. Back in France, he participated in the creation of the Armand Gatti’s exhibition Don quichotte ou la traversée des mots (Don Quixote or the Crossing of Words), in addition to Sarah Franco-Ferrer’s exhibition Les Maisons Visages at the Ferme du Buisson (Shrub Farm).
